IELTS Testing
NCELTR is a major IELTS testing and preparation centre offering the IELTS
test, a range of preparation courses, IELTS Online , IELTS Preparation books

About the IELTS Test
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is a test of English language proficiency which assesses your level of skill in listening, reading, writing and speaking. It is internationally recognised and administered in over 210 centres world-wide.
The test is used as an indicator of English language proficiency for entry into universities, TAFE (Technical andFurther Education) colleges, secondary schools and colleges in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Canada and English language medium universities in Asia (eg. in Singapore). NCELTR conducts tests regularly throughout the year.
Modules
There are two different Modules: General Training and Academic.
The Academic Module is for candidates who wish to study at an undergraduate
or postgraduate level. The General Training Module is designed for people
who intend to enrol in secondary schools in an English-speaking country
or follow a non-degree or non-tertiary course, for example, a diploma or
certificate course at a TAFE or business college. You may also take this
module for immigration purposes.
How to Apply for the Test
You must complete an IELTS Application form, attach 2 recent passport-size
photographs (taken in the last three months) and present your original passport
(a certified copy is not acceptable) when registering.
Numbers for each test are limited.
- All applications should be made five weeks before the test.
- All transfers or notice of cancellation must be received by our office five weeks before the actual test.
- No refund will be made unless five weeks notice is given.

IELTS Test Fees, Dates and Information
Test Fee: $280.
Australian law operates to impose GST on some IELTS tests but not others.
Payment by EFTPOS (savings card), cheque or money order. Credit cards are
subject to a 1.1% merchant service fee.
Cheque or money order to be made out to Access Macquarie Ltd (IELTS).
Cash not accepted.

What to do on IELTS Test Day
- You must bring your passport for identification purposes. You must bring pencils and an eraser.
- Come to the test room by the time indicated in your registration letter. The test will take a whole day, from 9 am until possibly 6 pm in the afternoon.
- The Listening, Reading and Writing sections of the test are held in the morning from 8:30am to 12:30pm. No latecomers are allowed into the test room once the test commences.
- Interviews for the Speaking section are held after 1 pm. You will be notified of the interview time on the test day. Please be prepared for a late afternoon appointment.
Your test results will be posted to you 10 working days after the test and also made available here.
