Description:
This course prepare students for Certificate and Diploma courses at Sydney Institute of Business and Technology ( www.sibt.nsw.edu.au ). The course focuses on language and academic skills to prepare students for successful independent study.

Activities included:

• Reading and understanding texts
• Note taking and other study skills
• Essay and other academic writing
• Listening strategies for further study
• Giving presentations and participating effectively in discussion

Assessment:
Assessment is based on course tasks and includes written tasks and oral presentations.

Entry requirements:
IELTS 5.0 overall or by assessment at SIBT. An offer for a place in a program at SIBT.

Further study options:
Students progress to SIBT where English study continues at a level determined by students results in SSEPP.
