NCELTR is located on Macquarie University’s beautiful parkland campus that is only a short bus ride away from Sydney’s city centre. Macquarie University is well known among local and international students as one of Australia's leading universities, with a peaceful, spacious campus and safe, friendly atmosphere. You will have access to all university services and facilities and will be able to participate in University sports competitions, student activities and social events.

NCELTR is widely recognised as a national and international leader in the field of English language teaching and research. It is a major IELTS testing centre, a leading centre for Applied Linguistics (TESOL) and the longest running National Key Centre funded by the Australian Government in any field in Australia. The teaching staff have postgraduate qualifications (Masters degree or PhD) and extensive experience teaching English in Australia and overseas. Over 35% of the teachers are qualified and practising IELTS examiners.

At NCELTR you will have the opportunity to meet other students from over 55 countries around the globe, including those from Asia, Latin America, Europe and the Middle East. NCELTR's intercultural communication workshops will help you gain the communication skills and intercultural awareness required for success in a competitive international environment while regular social events such as dance parties and sporting competitions will provide you with fun activities outside of class time. Special care and support is available to ensure that students are happy and comfortable, with regular student counseling and academic advice available.
